Hey everyone

Very quick question on whether to use a car battery with 70AH and a 800W converter attached or a generator to power a few things outside??

I was told that the car battery would just run down VERY quickly. Total wattage that would be running off the battery is about 630W so i rekoned it could last about an hour.

Whats your opinion on howe loud generators are as well

Thanks alot

Sam

Hi.

I suppose it depends on wether or not you want things to run for more than an hour.

I'd use a little suitcase geney, small enough to tuck away somewhere and you'll barely be able to hear it.

i used to live in a caravan for quite a few yr ran both batt and geny . for the suply you want and the consideration of recharging etc. id go for a geni in this case like a honda 10i or 20. but depends on how long ya wanna run said equipment as mentiond above. . or how about hooking up a few batts together giving a longer supply time and charge em wen needed. dont leave em flat though either as batts need lookin after. theres also solar and wind to charge insted of mains or geni charging but youl have to calculate to see if its viable.

630W IS ALOT FOR A BATT SUPLY
