i'm changing the lights in a ground floor car park from T8 to T5
about 30 altogether

the majority will be on 24/7 ,but there's 3 areas with some daylight

so 6-8 lights total will be off during daylight hours

is there any simpler way of doing this without photocell/s outside, contactors and re-wiring etc.

thanks

Dexeco have weatherproof T5 twins with microwave sensor and photocell built in, only catch is the price of the unit is ÂŁ103.08
Their part is from their ECO IMPERVIA range:
EMP249 CF(E) MW1 PC
***Non-Corrosive IP65 2x49w Corridor Function PIR Sensor / Polycarb Diffuser LESS LAMP

Their standard T5 weatherproof is ÂŁ32.90:

EMP249 PC
IP65 2x49w T5 Surface High Frequency / Polycarb Diffuser / LESS LAMP

Prices are from Dexeco directly and you will need to buy them from the wholesalers, I use Edmundsons who can get them, they charge me the quoted price and obviously get them cheaper.

Prices are without VAT and tubes.

Only down side to those sensors is the light level and reflection may make them turn off, then on, then off.

I had that problem with a single 2D light under an office archway to a carpark, only cure was to use an external photocell.

that was my concern-lights going on and off with any 'internal' photocell solution

i don't need the microwave motion detection ,only p'cell-so that would be cheaper if available

dunno if it would work though with other lights nearby
