Cash Kickbacks/Incentives...

Just wondering of anyone is doing a cash incentive? A local competitor is doing this but we were under the impression it wasn't allowed under REALassurance. Have phoned real to see if we can also offer it, they said 'yes, no, maybe, we'll get back to you...' and didn't.

Their previous customers are getting cash for confirmed sales leads. It's definately not advertised in their marketing. We're plenty busy so it's not sour grapes just wondering what the community thought...

Are you asking this as a referral scheme? ie for referring a new lead form a client who had an installation as a way of a thank you? If so it is within the REAL code and is OK and we work a scheme of this nature. What isn't ok is if you offer a intensive at the point of sale. ie sign today and get some cash!

Loads of nationals offer £200/£300 a referral. It can make it difficult for us, we never spend that much on marketing and sometimes it's hard to argue with hard cash. If our prices are similar but the customer has the chance to make £1k from 4 referrals to friends it can blow our prices out of the water. Terrible service from most nationals though ...

Dont sound like much, but I always hand over £50 in local business vouchers, usually for a restraunt. What is good with this is you can haggle with the voucher provider e.g. get a £75 face value voucher for say £60. Its a win-win and keeps the money local........Cash is good, but a night out adds feel good factor
