hi guys have you any tips on moving a ccu and upgrading to a 5+5 split

i need to move it around 15 ft into a cupboard its sited now near door ( near outside meter )

do i come from meter outside with new meter tails + earth or do i put a armoured cable in
would this have to be a 25mm same as tails or will 16mm t+e suffice ( cable it to be clipped under joists.

cheers jon:confused:

I agree, sorry to be blunt but if you have to ask questions like that then you really shouldnt be doing the work...its not really a question of knowledge of regs, thats just basic safety...

thought limit for tails was 3metres, over that use SWA. What about the installation wiring. will it reach the new position. joining is not the way forward

I think "may" is the key word there... You "may" run meter tails over three metres if mechanically protected, you "may" run armoured.... why would you run 16mm Twin and Earth? Your would have to run a seperate earth and for that matter 16mm would almost certainly not be enough...you would judge the job in hand on the issues it presents..

Thats fair enough, its just that you're the first I've seen who has actually altered their rates to suit the market. Everyone else i speak to all still want top dollar.

Take me hat off to you.
