Hi all,

I have just looked at a job where a ceiling fan on a variable control switch (like a dimmer switch) only goes full speed. It is a 1986 Vent-Axia Sweepaire fan only, no light.
Is it possible that the switch controller is 'shot' and if so can these still be bought? Thanks.

Regards
Nick

If its a variable resister type just check voltage on outgoing side as you change the speed it should rise and fall as you turn it up and down, as for availabilty just take fan details to any wholesaler and let them do the searching, im sure their will be some kind of replacement for it.
