What is ceiling voltage/current (with reference to generator exciter)?

1. Ceiling voltage is the maximum voltage that can be applied to the excitation sequence of the rotor/stator field winding in order to start.

2. Ceiling current, I think is just the maximum current that can be drawn by the loading on the geney via the windings, alternator, output terminals etc without causing damage to the system.
