It's sound advice actually - as long as you don't whack it too hard and that's where the plumber's skill comes into play.

It's not just about whacking it - it's about knowing where and how hard to whack it !!! :)

whbich brings me to the obvious conclusion.. if it's got ----, an engine, or a boiler, it will hurt you in the wallet.
 
that man was a hero. was a great shame when he went to the chimney in the sky.
Met the man many times,and my mum had many a brew with him,as she had a features page in Bolton Evening News,and he always liked some photos dropping off,if he had been a news item,in the week. I have a few mates with engines,and they are a "unique" breed. He was a one-off,for sure,but mad as a kipper,some of his politics would have had Stalin blushing....and he inspired me to make damn sure my will is in apple pie order...:laugh:
