Met the man many times,and my mum had many a brew with him,as she had a features page in Bolton Evening News,and he always liked some photos dropping off,if he had been a news item,in the week. I have a few mates with engines,and they are a "unique" breed. He was a one-off,for sure,but mad as a kipper,some of his politics would have had Stalin blushing....and he inspired me to make damn sure my will is in apple pie order...:laugh:that man was a hero. was a great shame when he went to the chimney in the sky.
