Can anybody tell me what certificates to use to sign off any type of portable installation, such as a portable food van.
The Zs readings would change etc
Thanks:confused:

Is it for a new installation?

Personally, I would do R1+R2 tests, and everything else and just state that on the certificate that it will be connected to varying supplies so Zs tests cannot be determined. It will be protected by a front end RCD anyway, so shouldn't be a problem...

Sorry for long delay, been away.

It is a new installation yes.
Would you use a EIC and state it is a portable powered system?
Also earthing arrangements are a concen, any advice would be appretiated.

Yes, I would label a certificate up as such, and state that only dead tests will be possible...

How do you mean that earthing arrangements are a concern?

Would you not do any live tests using a portable generator?
What i mean by earthing is that would you fill in any supply information?
I do use test sheets just not for this type of installation, that is why it throwing
me a little.
Cheers

When we received a brand new portakabin from portakabin the cert just made note that the only tests performed where dead tests and that it would require retesting once installed and energized.

Very old thread i know..

I just provided a SWA feed to a portakabin from a Submain within the local building.

I could really do with advice on filling the EIC in for the feed only.

The kabin has been TT'd, The Feed is SWA to a submain fed from 32a type C MCB.
Could someone please confirm where i get the follwing info and where readings are taken from

1. System Type...
2. Nature of supply parameters..
3. Characteristics of primary supply overcurent protective device..
4. Main switch or circuit breaker

Im confused on if i need to fill out the circuit details and test results as im not testing any outgoing circuits from the CU within the cabin.
Just testing the feed to the cabin

I'd appreciate any help please.
