Certificates???

Do i need to be registered e.g Napit, NICEIC to give out certificates and do i need my 2391

You don't need the 2391 for any testing but if anything goes wrong that is your defence to prove that you are competent.

PIR none notifiable. Everything else is so you have to be a member if a scheme or notify your labc.

As I said 2391 not required. Competent person can only do electrical work, in the case of testing you have to be familiar with the installation you are testing. Part p is only in England and Wales (op hasn't said why he is from).

PIR certs are a schedule of inspection and a schedule of test results. OSG appendix 7, page 154. Hope that helps mate.

Forgot to sat Periodic inspection report for electrical installation + a schedule if inspection and schedule of test results. Gn3 page 99.

cheers, must get that gn3 book, im only second year , so sticking to like for like fittings or pat testing but want to offer more.

is gn3 a must for a student in your eyes paul m. any other books you found to of great interest?
