When you are registered with a scheme and buy certs from them (NICEIC in particular) do they print your registration number on them or do you just get generic ones?

I am asking because I am wondering whether to get them or just use the ones from the regs book or similar.

I know it looks more professional and all that but if it's not even personalised then what's the point?!

Thanks!

Ed

The certs have a serial number on so can be traced back to NICEIC, I think. They don't have your membership number on them.
Don't waste your cash. Use other forms of certificate, or preferably some computer software onto which you can add your membership number

I use the Napit Desktop - normally costs ÂŁ85 for the licence but if you get it on trial - once the trial ends you can still use it to make EICRs, EICs, MW and Notify your work.
You only lose the fire alarm certificates if you dont buy the full version.

Not sure if NICEIC have software and if you can get it on trial or not

Not disputing your comment as I haven't tried the NAPIT software, but it sounds odd to me that if you don't buy the software and the temp licence expires that's the only limitation on continued usgage??

The NICEIC do their own software can use it on the ipad/iphone etc. They also do accounting software etc.

Try Easycert. Good and straightforward to use. The tech help is very good too :)

I used the easy cert software on ipad - easy to use but the first time I used it was onsite and after 2 hours of testing I went back to the observations and went back to far to the main screen of easy cert and lost all the test results I had done!
I had to do all the tests again - NOT HAPPY! - nor was the customer!

I like the NAPIT software but the only problem is it cant be used on the ipad - I have to wait till next year till its available - till then I have to continue using the laptop

For those who are waiting for windows 8 - Napit wont work on that either according to Microsoft!

That's a bummer - loosing all that info.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with Easycert. Set it up to auto-save or hit the save button on a regular basis. Never lost a sausage whilst using it. I'm sure the developer would be interested to know about your experience.

I've just got a combination of editable pdf's and spreadsheet templates - cost me nothing except my time to re/create when the regs change, and free use for life! I get to put the company logo all over them as often as I like, and miss out half the unimportant columns that are on the schemes certs but not in BS7671.

Hi, I'm thinking of buying the easycert software, have had the app to look at for a while, is there anything I should be aware of, also Brian from easycert said there is a discount code knocking about the forum, does any one know what it is.
Kind regards
Steve
