Do the regulations require any form of certification for removal of cables? The work which has been carried out was the removal of a lightswitch and switch wire from a joint box and the removal of a lighting feed from the load side of a fused spur.

Thanks,

There was a thread on here a couple of weeks back. General opinion was MWC with no tests since there's nowt to test any more

For removal of an entire circuit, then no just the MWC with no test results.

In this case however you may have altered the Zs for the circuit (and volt drop, r1, r2 etc), although both s/b improvements (if any change, depending on the location of the FCU (middle or end of circuit)), the original circuit should be tested and the results recorded IMHO.
