I have recently seen a few of these around but never used them. Are they worth fitting instead of the normal tungsten halogen lamps? I get cheesed off returning to a job, just because the lamp has blown in the first week.

I have tried both the LED flood and the CFL, the versions of which I tried didn't even come close to replacing the 200W halogens that were previously used.
The LED was/is too directional with a good but not comparable light output, and the CFL I tried the light intensity was not good or bright enough.
Mind you, that was almost 2 years ago, so I should hope that things are a bit better by now.
