hey guys new to this :)

bit about me, im 23, just graduated from uni with a 2:2, i have GCSEs and A levels with good grades. Throughout uni i just had the attitude where it just wasn't for me, however i kept at it and now im done. im at a crossroads now where i've come out and pretty stuck as to where i want to go. A career as an electrician has always stood out to me (my friend is one and he loves it and cant speak any higher about it). I feel i would rather do a job i enjoy than have a job which may or may not give me more money but i wont enjoy. I have been looking at courses and the one that seems to be the best is the level 2 city & guilds 2365 (through recommendation and emails to colleges). Paying for this course is not an issue and neither is going back to college. The questions i have for you guys are simple; is that course enough for me to be able to work with an employer? how hard was it for you guys to get your foot in the door? and above all, how much do you enjoy your job :)?

thanks fellas and sorry if my questions seem very basic just want to get as much info in as i can.

The best action available to you is to sit a part P course. It'll take a couple of weeks- if you bother to go every day, it's really not necessary- and then get out there and make yourself some real scratch. Good luck buddy!!

its done me ok in my life dont think ill ever be loaded yes i still have a genuine interest in electrics just completed my design course and found it very interesting dont think theres such a thing of the perfect job we do it to pay are bills a couple of holidays etc but most days not i enjoy being an electrician good luck in what ever you choose
