Is it even legal to upgrade/ change a cu without testing
And inspecting?

I have had a few clients where someone charged them ÂŁ200 to put one in. Took them about 2 hours. Haven't yet seen the paper work so that will be interesting, maybe a lot of lims or something.

LIM is not a term used on an installation cert. There are plenty of chancers doing cheap no test boards swaps in every town. If no satisfying or convincing paperwork is forthcoming, tell the customer to call the installer back and start asking questions.

Change the board.
Turn all circuits on accept the main switch.
Turn main switch on with broom handle. (Think safety and be a responsible spark)
If nothing goes bang or trips, test is good.
If the board catches fire don't worry its made out of metal now, so plenty of time to escape.
Write works completed as seen (Cash on completion)
Grab the dosh, run.
And remember never use yer real name when in conversation, and hide yer van out of sight.
Another successful earner.

an EIC should have been produced with a schedule of test results for every circuit. and you do not have "lims" on a EIC.

Exactly what I do but I just don't get how some do this for ÂŁ200 all in, just wondering, I would never not do a full eic but surely ÂŁ200 all in ?? It's like ÂŁ125 plus Certs notification Ect. So an extra ÂŁ10 for that

They tackle the problem by swapping plastic cu's for metal.
If we can't beat em we will cover there shoddy work with steel and produce a money spinning amd 3.
