Hi, this is my first post so hopefully in the right place, apologies if not.

I would like to replace this light fitting in a wet room in a ground floor extension. As you can see the ceiling is quite low.

Can I please ask

1) what zone would the light fitting fall in please?
2) am I allowed to change this myself as a DIYer?
3) if I can change it myself what type of fitting would be required? IP44?

Many thanks for any advice.

Zone 1. IP44 minimum. screwfix do LED fittings that would comply. beware though that most fittings will only accomodate 1 cable entry. so an enclosed joiunt would need to be above ceiling. also RCD protection is essential for any circuits in a bathroom. if in doubt, get a qualified sparks to do.

In addition to Brians post above you can get electronic impulse relays, so no thud as they switch in and out.
