Looking back over the years I've been in the trade working on sites of varying sizes it makes me wonder how some of the newer members on here would define the tricks, games and stitch ups played on the apprentices and unsuspecting sparks
Sending an apprentice for a long stand, a long wait, a length of fallopian tube, a skirting board ladder and the many other ruses would cause some of the newer and IMO more aggressive members on here to play the abuse card
So how has the on site work banter of 20 or 30 years ago now been redefined by this new breed of PC mad posters who have a no one can fail at anything have anything said against them attitude into abuse. Yes you can choose to ignore these people but sending them to Coventry and giving them the cold shoulder and not posting any replies to their inane questions only gets you accused of more abuse. Taking another viewpoint are the demands that these people make that their questions must be answered a form of abuse to the knowledgeable members of this forum or does it just class as comment or banter to be ignored
To those that are going to interpret this as an attempt to justify what they see as abuse I think you need to get a life and join the real world and while you may think we know it all I think you will find we all learn something new everyday we are not stuck in the past and have seen this industry evolve over a number of years and it is currently sliding closer to the abyss with all the quick course wannabe's being given some dubious kudos by getting registered with one of the various Part P schemes all backed up with a government blessing you have to wonder where this industry will be in 10 years time
