Changing from SON to metal halide

Hi all,

I'v got a SON fitting but i'v had complaints from the better half that she doesn't like the orange light it gives. Personally I would like to change it for a Metal Halide fitting. My question is, can I just change the lamp? Or will the gear need changing aswell?

Also what are the differences in the two performance wise?

Electric center do a conversion pack I think its the ignitor tharts different as for performance they seem similar but halides a heck of a lot whiter

whiter and brighter. i'd change the fitting rather than mess about. they're only about £50.

Hi Richard, Change the fitting mate, as the conversions tend to be less reliable and not worth the hassle.
