Hi , i have a t5 24 w tube and the old ballast has gone. The new electronic ballast i have to replace it doesn't need a starter. Do i just join through the cable where the old starter is or is there more to it?
Thanks

As per #2 the wiring needs changing a little. The mains now only goes to the ballast, as do both leads from each end of the tube. This includes the two leads that used to go to the starter.

There may be advantages to changing fittings to LED but it's not a foregone conclusion, e.g. where the fitting is one of a group and one LED would look out of place it's worth replacing the ballast at this stage and changing the lot to LED during the next facelift.
