Hello all:
For the last month i´ve been in charge of maintenance for a large, roof-mounted, photovoltaic installation. To get to a broken panel, maintenance personel is used to step over other panels on the way or over the clams that sustain the panels...The problem ist that one time out of 10, this breaks other modules, that other wise wouldn´t have any problem.
Has someone the same problem? Has someone a solution for this (some kind of support for the technitians that they can step on?)

Thanks for your comments and help

Thanks guys. although the helicopter was my first recomendation, something about "too much money" got in the way...
So it seems that there´s really nothing out there to do this kind of "off the surface" structure to let me go over the panels without really stepping on them. Actually i´ve emphasise that the stepping shouldn´t be on the panel but more on the clasms, althouth the weight is still puntual in a little surface on the panel. I was thinking more a way to distribute the weight of the maintenance person.
Anyway thanks for your comments, hopefully there is someone out there that has an idea and would like to share it with us

Easydec do some solar ladders, but I don't know how far they span, the ladders will do what you want, just google easydec and look on website.

get a dwarf or a small child !

That's vertically challenged person in today's PC world! No problem with a child. Lets face it they would of been up chimneys 200 years ago.

That hover board thing of back to the future might do it. Just need a Delorean, a flux capacitor and a roof to get to 88mph! Simple's!

Forget the rest just give me a roof and any car , don't need to get to 88mph either .
Just make it really really high and leave me a big hole at the bottom ! :13:

Ladder with a roof hook. glue rubber strips on the back of the ladder to protect the panels as you walk up.....should cost you about £80 all in. EasyDec will leave you that in change from £1000......

There is one chap I know of that may be able to help you......
