Hi,

I have a single light switch, wired like this.. the 2 wires in com, with a always live wire coming to the switch, and then wire going out to the light. (earth is in choc block at switch and light fixture)

I want to add a second switch like this

Does this look ok?

No, from your pictures there is no neutral unless the neutral can be obtained elsewhere.
 
You don't have a neutral at the switch. If those blues on your drawing a supposed to be neutrals that will create a dead short.

Difficult to actually understand what you are trying to do, from what I can see I have to be boring and suggest you get an electrician in, you have no neutral and certainly cannot connect one even if you found one through the switch , the whole thing looks messy and not really in this case a DIY job
 
looking at the initial photograph on the OP...... did someone actually earth the plastic pattress box?
