Hello
Need guidance powering / charging a RING Pro video doorbell. Have an old home intercom system M&S MC602 (its powered by TE-5B transformer120v input).
I have the exact setup as this thread.

My apologies in advance I'm very green when it comes to electronics.
My questions are:
1. I've tested the voltage out of the transformer ....the above thread mentions pairs of wires black and red offering a 16vac output...when I tested Im not getting anything close but when I pair a black and red together I get 17.94....is that the correct voltage? why not 16vac or slightly under? Here are pictures of wires from transformer and where they connect to the board ..... https://Upload the image directly to the thread.com/gallery/79V7R9E
2. If these are the correct wires to use then do I need the additional resistor between RING and the transformer. Here's a link
https://ring.com/products/wirewound-resistor
3. My intention is to only power the RING doorbell not have it ring the intercom chime therefore I purchased terminal strip and some terminal connectors for the wires....the wires leading to and from the intercom system and speaker are a GRAY Type CL2 FT4 (wires I've seen for phone systems) Can these tiny wires be used to power the RING safely? The photos here are exact to mine. https://Upload the image directly to the thread.com/gallery/79V7R9E
4. I plan on working behind the connector / plug with the RED, BLACK and GREEN wires shown in these pics.

I would splice and connect the terminal strip, RING power module etc.....
Are these correct wires to get my power/splice into? I mean the correct location to connect.
5. Do I need anything else? For example a 24vac 40va transformer...its mentioned in the thread as the solution to powering the RING Doorbell at the end of the thread.
https://www.doityourself.com/forum/h...om-system.html
If I do need need 24vac 40va transformer where would I have to connect it?
Thank you for your input, patience and advice in advance.
