Anyone got any good places to buy these? I see they are not cheap! After discussion think they would be a good thing i need 9 in total. Although i know they are not as bright so i may need more? Two are going direct into a shower area of a wetroom. Think ill get the wet rated ones to be on the sfae side as some as they will all share the same ceiling void.

As a guide would one be enough to light a small downstairs toilet area about 0.8 x 0.8m?

thanks

Hello,

It would depend on how bright you want them to be and if they have to be fire rated. The best ones out are EvoLEDs at around ÂŁ38.50 Each +VAT. They are fire rated, IP65, use only 7.9W and produce more lumen than a 50W halogen.

One of these will be enough for your 0.8x 0.8m room. Try LED Downlights MR16 LED Kitchen Lights LED Light Bulbs - Down Lights Direct they stock them.

have decided on these i think they were very helpful.......any comments welcome.

going to put these in all areas just to be on the safe side.

21 Multi LED Economy Lamp

only prob i foresee is perhaps brightness but i assume i can just get the brighter bulbs for areas that need more? thanks for the reccommendations but not sure the budget stretches that far.

only thing now is warm or cool white???

These budget type LED lamps you've chosen give LEDs a bad name. They are not even meant for ambient lighting and should only be used for display lighting or gardens. The colour temperature of these bulbs is wrong too. You want to go for high power LEDs. They are more expensive but produce a similar lumen to a halogen. 4W = 35W & 5W or 7W = 50W. Kosnic ones are best for non dimmable and Philips Masters for dimmable.
