There's a loop of (wire)? coming out of the ceiling - could be he's about to hang himself, don't know what else he could be doing, better than falling and breaking your neck!

That's the failsafe.... only problem is it brings the ceiling down with you

Ha Ha nice!! Wouldn't have been any good for me today as I jumped of my steps today as I left my phone on vibrate and when I got a call thought I'd left the juice on. Felt a bit of a prat when I leapt off and realised what I had done...

Recently been working on a Kier site where stepladders are banned. Instead we had to use telescopic platfrom steps. They are so awkward and heavy carrying them up stairs that have got scaffold on them. Far more dangerous than normal step ladders.
