Is there any way to find a DIN rail mount SPDT time relay with adjustable transition/changeover time. Need to automatically switch between two reversing contactors without mechanical interlock depending on the coast time of a relatively high inertia load.

It might be more cost-effective to use programmable relay or PLC, only thing is it will take too much space in the panel.

Star/delta timer could be used but I'm afraid transition time will be too short and there is no repeat cycle mode.

Mechanical interlocks should be added anyway.

It would be better to use VFD drive for continuous reversing but since there are no shielded EMC connectors with early break auxiliary contacts then other solutions must be considered.
