I have been asked to design a new lighting scheme for a local tradional village Church. I am having difficulty finding an appropriate pendant style light fitting that will blend in to the tradional structure (oak beams lime wash walls). metal halide or a phillips type flourescent lamp type seems the obvious choice for lamp as the lamp height is roughly around 3.5m from the floor. Also has anybody come accross brown FP cable and where to buy it from/manufacturer i have used black before but not brown. I tend to use white/bare M.I. normally.
Any help much appreciated

Try this web site for cable, never seen brown, black would be next best, I have seen white installed and then painted, but it has never been successful.

I would go for metal halide have you though about getting a thorn rep or phillips rep to visit church and advice on what possible, I used them to help me with lighting design before.
