City & Guilds 2391-52 replaces 2394/5 | on ElectriciansForums

Discuss City & Guilds 2391-52 replaces 2394/5 in the Electrician Courses : Electrical Quals area at ElectriciansForums.net

Feel a bit swizzed as I effectively did the 94/95 with two practical exams at 11 hours total and umpteen exams written and on line with two courses paid for at just under 7k. Now it seems like its just been made cheaper and easier. In the old days I've know grown men bite their own heads off rather than do the dread 2391, with a 70% failure rate. Thats why colleges were failing so they switched to the open book and broke the course down into parts and went over to the EAL version, then suddenly all the colleges were getting good results.

Go back to the original 2391. I think they should take back to how it was, not brake it down and make it easier. I don't know for a fact that it's easier, but I do know some sparks who have it, who defiantly wouldn't of been able to get the 2391

I've just heard about this from one of our maintenance sparks. We all did the 2394/95 a few months back. That included 2 practical tests, a multiple guess (closed book) and 2 x 2 hour written exams (closed book). I won't say it was easy, but it's not meant to be.
