Hi,

I was wondering which course is the best value for money, the 2392 or the part P

I am a recently made redundant Mechanical Engineer looking to obtain some electrical training. I'm hoping to get some electrical testing skills, as I'm wanting to become multi-skilled eventually.

The 2392 is about £500 and the Part P about £800. Will the Part P give me as much testing ability as the 2392 ?

Which one will benefit me most ?

Kind regards, Chris

Hi Chris
All depends what you want to achive the 2392 is the new C & G qual thats ideal for people wanting to inspect and test upto 100a such as domestic installers etc and is just for inspection and testing where as the domestic installers will give you all round knowlage etc on domestic installs there is testing etc included and is the best to start with and will meet the requirements of NICEIC/ELECSA etc for domestic installers assessment (See their websites for more details) also the 2391/2392 are not required for assessment.
Personally unless you just want domestics then i would recomend 2391 but again you wont get anywhere with just an inspect/test qual without at least 2382 as well.
Regards
Kung.

I done the part p last september it was a 5 day corse mate with an online exam on the friday the only testing we done was like for 2 mins we picked up a fluke mft and tested a lighting circuit and that was that The corse it self was fantastic for me as iam a neebie and learnt loads and it was great being in the company of loads of sparks as i was able to pick their brains and learn stuff i wanted to no. We used a company called j s consultants in hyde near manchester would recommend them as i pass my 17th edition with the same company as well as the part P

am doing the 2392 in the next month with him
