Has anyone previously undertaken this course?

I'm currently doing the 2400 course and have been assigned Shillitoe parish community centre as the project.....
Just looking for some advice i.e the power correction factor for lighting via electronic ballast is 1.8 but looking at manufacturers data sheets power correction isn't as drastic, can you select light fittings attach manufacturers data and base calcs upon info provided? Also did many of you find that a 2nd DB was required for the groud floor to minimise the volt drop in the final circuits? And PV arrays I've never dealt with those before where do you start!?
If anyone has any old info based upon old projects they could send me it would be much appreciated ([email protected])

The 1.8 cf for discharge lighting is a standard `rule of thumb`if you can back any other calcs with proven data then thats fine

I put adiitional DB`s in the reception for reception offices and kitchen backing on to the kitchen wall

One in the cupbooard in the ground floor conference roon backing on to to the intake room

One upstairs in the storeroom for the toilets etc

Kept final circuits in the intake room for the outside lighting and the intake room power and light only as there is no internal access to this room

Not much info required for the PV, get data from the internet for an inverter, dc isolator etc, no details are given for pv generated power so info is general only, Sextion 712 in the regs will virtually list the equipment for you

hope this helps
