I have a 15amp ckt (feeding light fixtures and some outlets) in my home. Once in a while everything on the ckt. goes off, however the breaker does not trip. The breaker gets reset (turn it off then on) but still no power at the lights and outlets. Power comes back on by itself. I replaced the breaker, still same problem. What do you think? Anyway to test for problems? Is this a big problem? Thank you for your help and feedback.

Asuming not every thing in the house goes out, that rule's out a incoming supply problem.
Switch off the MCB and note everything that it supplys.. When the fault happens again see if any item on that circuit is still woking, look there for a loose conection, and a big burn mark :)..
if everything goes out then its likely to be at the CU or the first point, whats the nearest item to the board look there.. it sounds like a loose conection..

My guess is an earth to N fault in the damaged light fitting. This will become a problem when other devices draw large currents.
