Just finished a job and got pulled on the fact that i had a screw terminal joint in a loft space, he says this is a no! no! due to accessibilty for testing, maintenance etc etc.....
My question is what defines accessibility as i could with a pair of steps quite easily access this joint. Also he points out screw terminal j.b.s cant be used under floor boards etc and is even in the 16th edition, although he was happy for me to put a adaptable box on with the new style compression connectors in.
Has anyone else had this issue, i can appreciate the regs if this is the case but j.b.s are still been used widely.
