I’m replacing surface mounted fluorescent fittings for 1200 x 600 tamlite led panels, normally used as drop in’s for grid type suspended ceilings but for this application slide into tamlite surface mounted boxes. From a klick system a 3-core flex enters the newly created tamlite fitting and connects into the driver for the the led panel all housed within.
The led panel and driver are class 2 rated and I’m assuming there’s no need to earth the tamlite powder coated metallic box and treat it as class 2 due to entering the fitting with a double insulated flex to maintain that class. If it were single core cables entering I would treat the fitting as class 1
