Don't you think Classic cars look so much more interesting than the new ones that are on the market? Geordie and I saw a beautiful Trans-am that the guy was renovating and putting a V8 engine in and the same guy had a STONKING original (Not sure if it was a Pontiac) with all the original chrome bumpers, proper leather seats, and it was a gorgeous dark green colour. It knocks all these daft new cars (mine included) into a cocked hat. I would love a classic car and it's criminal when people let them get trashed. The Green Goddess looks full of character. :frown:

Is that right you now don't need mot on classic vehicles? Used to have a 67 bug which was tax exempt. Still had to get it mot though

Cornish small man.

Thought that any vehicle that is driven on the public highway has to have an MOT.
As of 18 November 2012 any vehicle built and registered before 1960 will be exempt the MOT test, reason being they are seen as classic cars and more likely to be well maintained by collectors and do limited annual mileage.

Funnily enough I know where there are a couple of very nice triumphs that are begging to be taken out for a spin...
