Hello

What is the best tyoe of coax to use in domestic property's these days?

Also what is the best way to join coax under floorboards other than male and female ends incase it gets pulled apart, also could anyone recommend a good tester to test the strength of the signal as i am hoping to tee into an existing coax cable and extend to new points but dont wont to do all this then get complaints of bad picture when finished.

Thanks

If you split an existing coax then you WILL get bad pictures.

Ideally you need to run a feed from the aerial to a suitable booster and then go to each outlet from there.

I would also avoid joining coax if poss. If you need to then use f connectors with the f connector joiner.

Any screened cable will do CT100 being the favourite.

Thanks Jason

I cant seem to find ct100 only these.

Coaxial and Satellite Cables

Also as it will be a mission to route cables from downstairs to loft is it ok to put TV points on external walls then drill through back of box and externally clip to loft and if aerial goes on chimney is it ok to have cable just laying across roof tiles?
