Hi Guys,

Came across this the other day, a little unsure how to code, I was thinking C3 but would like your thoughts. Obviously been done like this to accomodate different makes of MCB

Agreed with tel, but not sure how you could technically justify a C2 if everything tests out fine and theres no signs of arching.

C3 is far too generous though.

C2 and a half anyone?

Looking at the bottom screw terminals on the MCB's and the live-link's .... i can't help but seeing loads of incredibly happy faces.

It's not like Wylex MCBs aren't readily available either. This is from a private residence that's about to be become a rental property, basically a late 80s early 90s 2 up 2 down with garden, all bonding & earthing is undersized (TNC-S) which I was suprised by considering it's age. NO RCDs at board or locally protecting sockets so will probably be pushing for a board change I reckon.

best option. are those bottom links 6mm? if so, they're well undersized at the main switch end.

If its to be come a rental property then I'd be recommending that the CU be upgraded - and as there are only 6 MCB's, I'd suggest RCBO's

agree with murdoch ( because he's right again as usual). yippee, after a week in the dark, i can now add smileys again.
