Hi guys
Asked to put 20amp supply in for coffee machine, wants switch etc in unit below would you put a dp isolator switch or a rotary isolator switch either with a stuffing gland outlet ready for engineer to connect to ?
Many thanks ?

Cheers andy so considering it's going in a unit below the appliance just a standard dp switch then as suppose a rotary switch is bit of a waste ? cheers fella
Yes possibly. A standard DP switch has the benefit of being able to have a neon for use of staff but a rotary isolator enclosure can more easily accept a gland for the machine installer. The rotary one might be a bit more robust if you're sticking it in a cupboard. It's gonna get busy with stuff in there. Put it high up and to the front to minimise impact.

Cheers ?would you use 2.5 t+e on a 10x mtr run in conduit asking for 20amp supply ?

I would put it in easy reach, and easily visible. Stuff the aesthetics of coffee house chic chrome and wood.... bright yellow and red rotary isolator... can’t miss it.

you don’t want it hiding behind cups, bags of beans etc.... but if it has to be in a cupboard, rotary switch.... a regular rocker could get knocked off.

In TN-S systems, you shouldn't isolate the neutral in a 4-pole isolator. Connecting neutrals to a dedicated terminal is acceptable and safe...
