Would I need a dedicated circuitr for a combi boiler, or just connect to ring via fcu??

No need for a dedicated supply, can be a spur from the ring.

can be done either way. I prefer a separate circuit.

Just done one and utilised the old immersion heater circuit.
Fused down to 6amp in the CU and then a 3amp FCU to the boiler itself.
