Combi Boiler

Just found out I have got one to do tomorrow or Friday but never done one before and they have also lost the manual for it! Much too them? Only info I know is the connections in it are Lr Ls Ns N L. Has a programmer and room stat to be fitted as well! I assume it has to be a DP switched fuse beside the boiler then flex into L N E obviously, then L N E to programmer from Ls & Ns...I know roughly but a bit of help wouldn't go a miss And what are the connections likely to be in the programmer?

not a DP switched fuse just a Fused Switched Spur 3A or 5A fuse. as for the rest, best contact manufacturer

Sorry I never meant to write DP! Not sure what make the boiler is so can't contact boiler until then and don't really wanna be sitting in phone ques whilst at the job! Just thought someone would have had experience doing them!

Connections and set up will vary between boiler manufacturers so i don't think any info could be given without boiler make and model. Sorry

As sintra say connections vary ,LN is the live and neutral in Ls is live send Lr live return and Ns is neutral send ,so you can use a single 5 core 1 mm flex from the boiler to the programmer ,some of the ones i have done i install the room stat in the circuit to either to the programmer or boiler ,so you have perm live neutral earth to the boiler ,then the 5 core to the programmer Ls to the L Ns to the N then Lr from the output of the programmer this can be via the room stat so basically you wire the in and out of the roomstat in series with the Lr ,so fused spure,boiler programmer, room stat ,back to the boiler , have a good read of the manuel it will all drop into place ,youll be fine

Yes no problems mate with all the instructions. i did mine and it was the first i ever did and took about 30 minutes, very straight forward. Just remember some times plumbers do it themselves so it cant be that difficult can it.

PS Plumbers, that remark was meant to be tongue in cheek.
