Hi everyone just wanted to run a query by you intelligent lot.... Combi boiler in cylinder cupboard on a landing been taken out new one put in....existing spur,board is a 3036 done ze and r1r2 everything spot on been told an rcd needs to be used as...and I quote"you are changing the characteristics of the circuit" I've argued the ---- but boss won't be told I know rcds are no bad thing but anyone got any views

Like for like you don't need to fit RCD, sounds like you haven't altered the circuit at all! So no, RCD not required.

Yeah that's what he has asked for my gripe was his quote bit pathetic dont you think? Manufacturers doesn't stipulate as long ad it isn't sited in bathroom
