Hello folks, hope you are well.

I was recently called out to investigate a problem with a "Jordao mural fundador slim"
Fundador Plus MSlimk

everything is working EXCEPT the under unit fluorescent light fitting, which is showing 0 volts when the switch is on. The fridge is controlled by a digital display panel, and in my opinion it is probably faulty. If anyone has worked on anything similar to this i would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Thanks.

Martin.

its all contained in a digital control box and the connections are not easily accessable. i want to rule out every other option before taking this apart! thankyou for your response.

I think you have no option but to access the control box I suspect you may find a fuse in there

I have worked on similar systems, the lighting is usually seperate to cooling controls. I would advise contacting the manufacturer to request some technical literature. Most manufacturers are quite helpful and usually email pdf's to you upon request.

If the controls are similar to a normal fridge/freezer the control board usually controls all the functions within the appliance including the lighting. Some of the faults are so simple when you find them but if you have little or no information to work with it can take some time. Have seen appliances condemned as uneconomical to repair by the manufacturers service engineers with very simple faults like oxidised connectors on the temp sensor. I now make notes and take pictures for future reference when I can on these jobs now. Some of these jobs become a personal challenge when you know the fault is a simple one but the appliance has to run for a number of hours before the fault occurs
