Asked to look at wiring in a new deep fat fryer.
Turned out to be 2 x Lincat DF618, which need 2 supplies per fryer. Each supply can be configured as 9KW or 6KW.
My first problem is that at the moment there is only one 40A feed, there are spare ways on the board so just more expense for the client.
My query to you all is the connection from the outlet plate to the fryer, there was no supplied flex, all I can get is 4mm which is only rated to 32A. So do I set the fryers to 6KW, or do I put it up to 9KW as the load on the flex will not be a continuous 39A.
