Hello All

First time on a forum. I need some help!

I've wired up a block of flats communal lighting. very basic lighting

a 3core and earth from the board to the first light then from that the 2nd to 3rd then it stops then from the board a 3 core and earth to the first switch then second then third then it stops

all the lights are emergency fittings hence the 3core.

I was originally going to use a timer breaker but found these neat little sensor switches (no neutral needed, but I have one available) and for some reason the lights wont turn off.

I disconnected all the switches and blocked them through and they still stay on.

I'm getting 50v off the switch wire with the light on.

any suggestions

Pete

why a 3 core from the board to every switch are you jointing in he board

I presume the 3 core consists of one switched line and one perm line from the test switch.!!!
1. First dis connect all switch lines...the green/red charging led should be lite.
2. re connect 1. and dis connect perm line....the green/red charging led should extinguish.

If led extinguishers in test 1 and stays lite in test 2.....swop lines
if led stays lite in both test 1 & 2 then remove wire link between "L1 & L" in light units.

Complete tests and see how you get on
