I have to install four lights going up some stairs in a communal area of flats, controlled by two PIR's one at the entrance and one at the top of the stairs. What is the best way to wire this? Is three core involved?
I've never wired up communal lights before

Regards.

U need to wire switches in parallel or why not use timer switches.

Use a 3 core Pir top Pir bottom ,perm and switched feed ,also very useful if you use emergency fitting as youll then have the perm feed , wiring is to wire them in parallel so that when either Pir Operates it switches all the lights on
