Complete Nightmare Day

Operating outside our usual territory in Norfolk to get FiT for a relative. Booked a local roofer with solar experience to assist with installation.
Phone call at 7.30am to say roofer had just crashed his van into a sugar beet lorry: "If anyone had been riding in my passenger seat, they would have been killed."

Haven't been able to contact roofer since. Spoke to his business partner who wasn't able to help much. Tried to find replacement roofer but nothing doing - no-one available at such short notice.

Spent the day doing the cabling and paperwork but now pretty much run out of things to do.
Anyone able to assist or know a roofer in the Thetford/Diss area of Norfolk who could work tomorrow (Sat) on a roof only installation? Please PM me if interested.

never done a pv install or never seen one done... but cant you do the roofers job, felt, battens slates overlapping, cut few tiles and point ridge tile and point the edges, is what they do.. yyou offering double time tomorrow???

Not easy to do on your own. It's really a two man job.

aye i know that two well buddie, and if you get a roofer even better..... but if needs must, plough on.. loads of roofers in northern ireland out of work last time i looked around..

mind you there is adverts for england recently floating around for roofers , elecrrician and labourer as a team for weekly work in england and they'l fly them home.. and if i remember right it was £200 each an install...

2 man job norm plus u cant be lifting panels up on a windy day ESP on ur own!! feel sorry for u out of ur area!!! i prob get someone to u monday but it a cost u as in BERKSHIRE £££££££££
