Hi, I wonder if someone can shed light on a issue i have, i have recently passed the 2391-10 course, and would like to know whether or not i can now complete and issue PIRs on a private basis, or do i have to join an organisation ie NICEIC , NAPIT before i can do this. Would i need public liabilty insurance?
I would appreciate if someone could help me out.
Thanks

Can you complete PIRs YES ( if the client l accepts them)
NO you do not have to join anyone ( if the client accepts your Certificates)
If the client does not accept your certificates, then joining a scheme to be ablke to have their logo may then be needed, but not required by any law regulation or other
It would be advisable to have public indemnity insurance to cover your advise

Just remember that PIRs can be carried out by anyone who believes they are competent, even if they do not have your qualifiicaton
