Hi all I came across a situation which had me a little puggled and I would like a second or third etc opinion
The situation was this a merlin, con unit with a reversed busbar, ie the busbar supplied the top of the circuit breakers and where the busbar normally goes the circuits were wired into, now I am unsure if this is will still enable correct operation of the mcb,s please clarify because I am unsure many thanks

Never considered this, and to be fair i dont know the answer, but thinking logically it works on overload/overcurrent, and i suppose the breaker wont know which way the electric is flowing through it, so my guess is it will be OK. But i will stand to corrected, so watch this space, and someone will be along shortly.

Cheers..........Howard

so you can't use another manufacturers MCBs. also, the busbar is safer , same as the crabby starbreaker boards.

Today I've put in 4x TP outlets on old MG (C45N) boards & yes all the mcb's are fitted (even the new C60N schneider ones I fitted) with the top to the busbar.

Getting hold of BCL's were a pain, ended up going direct to schneider for a handfull.
