Good afternoon Gentlemen.I'm in the process of rewiring my garage so that I can join one of those fantastic schemes for my Part P.Question is this. looking at the OSG about conduit factors (Table 5D), it says about bends. Is this just bends in the actual conduit or does this include such things as 'elbows' and 'Tees'? The reson I'm asking is for example, it gives factors for 1metre runs with 4 bends, but none for 10 metre runs!!!Many thanks in anticipationLS

Tees and elbows should have inspection outlets which means you can pull in at these points so would not be included.

I remember, along time ago, attempting to pull through 20mm2 conduit, 3 * 2.5mm2 cables starting from a floor trunking 16m through 3.5 bends. I made the mistake of using a running coupler half way up the wall as opposed to a through box. I never did that again.

It doesn't take a very long length and a couple of bends to jam up the cables.

I never did get on with the newer conduit fill factor tables, it's like ''Double Dutch'' to me...lol!! I still use the old fill factor table as my starter guide, that and i suppose the experience that comes with the years of working on extensive conduit/trunking containment systems.
