I m a bit confused about the route to gain a NVQ 3.

I m stating college in September I m doing the C&G 2330 level 1&2. Am I right in thinking that once Iv finished the level 2 I can do the NVQ 3 if I have work in the trade ?

AFAIK a level 3 qualification (whether that be 2360, 2351 or 2330) is required for the underpinning knowledge for the Level 3 NVQ. As such, I would be extremely surprised if you did not need to do the Level 3 2330 Certificate.

You can do your nvq 3 even if you don't have any qualifications, you just have to be working out on site. One of the lads I work on site with started from the beginning and did his 2330 l2 and l3 and nvq 3 with the same company. They recommended he do his l2 2330 first and then ran the 2330 l3 and nvq3 along side each other. I actually did my nvq3 with the same company.

Evening All,

I to am starting college in September to do the 2330 L2 & L3 I am re-training to change career. Have I done the right thing looking on here it is all people being laid off and no work around I guess that is a sign of the times though and hopefully in 2 years time when qualified things would have changed.:)
