I have recently been given a chandelier that I would like in my bedroom, to replace the existing ceiling rose. However, I do not have the bracket that fits to the ceiling & I'm not sure what type/size bracket I need. Can anyone advise me please?

If anyone can send pic's of what I need, I'd be sooooo grateful
Thank you! :)

It looks like the tyoe that hangs on a hook and then you slide the metal cup up to cover it, we used to just use a cup hook screwed into something solid above the ceiling for that sort of fitting.

Obviously putting the electrical connections in a suitable enclosure too.

You'll need a plate bracket with a hook on it.
Great, thanks, presumably I can buy these on the internet? :)

Drill some screw holes in the plate shown, make your connections and screw the plate direct to the ceiling you might want to use some round head Brass screws as opposed to steel ones.

There’s a couple of brothers from the Peckham area that have done this sort of thing.
One’s a plonker, but the other is luvvly jubbly.

Which plate?

Are you suggesting drilling holes in the decorative cover to fix it to the ceiling?
In which case it won't stay up very long!
