Simple question, can an MCS company use non-MCS subbies and I get two different responses:
Any views on the forum about this?
From MCS via email:
"Thank you for your enquiry.
If a MCS certified company contracts another company ("Company B") to install the electronics, the company ("Company B") who is installing the electrics does not have to be MCS registered as well for the installation to be provided with a MCS Certificate."
From RECC website (COnsumer Code Section 7.1):
"Members who enter into the contract with a consumer may carry out on-site work themselves, or they may subcontract it or elements of it to someone else. In either case, the contract must be signed by and the installation work carried out by an installer who is certified to the relevant MCS installer standards described in section 2.3 above and a member of the Code"
