Hi there firstly my names Benji, I'm a commercial/industrial electrician from up north in sun Sheffield :-)

I'm going away for a month in June and considering when I return getting a lease for 6 months in London and trying to find some commercial work.

So basically I'm looking for some advice on places worth moving so I've got easy access for travelling to and from work and also I really would like someone to point me in the right direction of where To start looking for work?
Eg firms, agencies worth asking?
Ive worked in all angles of commercial, industrial and domestic so if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!

Hi there,

Welcome. I work in central london on comercial and although I work for a company that has locations all over the place (not just london) I know there is plenty of work around, there's never ending construction going on somewhere. as to how you would get a foot in the door i am unable to help. I've been in london for just over 10 years now and i'm looking to get out of here.

I would look at (hate myself for saying this) agencies in the first instance then atleast you know you have something. Think long and hard before a move, price of living here is off the charts. some of my staff pay 500+ per month for a room in a house share.... and that's in zone 4-6

I know this doesnt fully help but hopfully a little.
